Our Content Development Team is busy updating and building new courses to keep you compliant. Updates and new courses are initiated by industry changes, internal reviews, and customer feedback. Our Management of Change (MOC) Documentation is available in Pinion’s Company Files and includes specific information on the affected components and overall impact.
The most recently updated Skills Assessments are CT01.2 – Measure Structure-to-Electrolyte Potential, CT02 – Maintain Test Leads, CT08 – Conducting Cathodic Protection Remediation, and CT09 – Monitoring for Internal Corrosion. CT01.2 focuses on evaluating elements of cathodic protection surveys and measuring structure-to-electrolyte potential. CT02 covers visually inspecting test leads, determining test lead continuity, measuring structure-to-electrolyte potential, and repairing and replacing damaged test leads. CT08 details installing electrical bonds, galvanic and impressed current anodes, transformer/rectifiers, and test stations, conducting thermite welding procedures, and locating, monitoring, and clearing shorted casing. CT09 addresses extracting and inserting corrosion coupons and probes, as well as collecting pipeline content samples. Each assessment contains course specific abnormal operating conditions and assesses a candidate’s ability to recognize and react to those conditions. Updates to the corresponding E-Learning modules including Training and Knowledge Assessments are due to be released later this year.
